This week brings brand new content! We are able to announce today that yet another GT4 car has been finished by the Coach Dave Academy team, therefore leaving only a couple of cars left to do for the GT4 class in ACC.
The Audi R8 GT4 is a bit of a bruiser in ACC, it is on the heavier and softer side when it comes to the class, and whilst having excellent straight-line speed, its braking capabilities leave a lot to be desired, which combined with a very simplistic ABS system leave for a quite challenging driving experience.Â
It therefore is a bit of a specialist car, where, on faster, more flowing circuits when BOP allows it can challenge at the front. Where the car comes unstuck is on narrower tracks that have a higher percentage of tight corners or heavier braking zones.
Overall, the Audi R8 GT4 is not one that is beginner-friendly like the Aston or Mercedes. It requires a bit of patience to learn how to exploit its advantages in the high speed, whilst minimising it’s low speed disadvantages. Great acceleration, strong top speed and good stability are all major plus points of this car. However if you persevere with it, it will reward you with some fantastic speed in the GT4 class at select circuits.Â
