Christmas is coming early with the release of v1.6 setup updates, Imola track setups, and a brand new GT3 car setup bundle.
This project is huge and ongoing as we revisit every single setup bundle we’ve created, to see if and what changes are necessary. We have taken the decision to not rush the process, which is why you’ve had to wait 2 weeks for the first round of releases.
Here’s the new content we are releasing today:
- Brand New Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO Setup Bundle.
- Porsche 991.2 GT3 GTR Setup updates.
- Mercedes AMG GT3 2015 Setup updates.
- Ferrari 488 GT3 2018 Setup updates.
- Imola Setups for Aston Martin, Audi R8, McLaren 720s, Mercedes AMG GT3 2015, Ferrari 488 GT3 2018, and Porsche 991.2 GT3 GTR.
Imola setups will be added to Bundle Owners for free over the next few days, it just takes time to run the queries when gifting the entire customer base free products.
If you’re looking for the details of what has changed, please read our release notes post on Coach Dave Academy.
Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo
The new Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo is proving to be much quicker than its predecessor at many of the tracks in ACC. With improved torque and new 5th and 6th gear ratios, the car feels much more responsive out of slow corners. But, one of the quirks that came with the new car is a very pointy front end, which we have neutralized by balancing the rear a bit more.
The new setup bundle is available right now.
Setup Updates
The Coach Dave team continues to extensively test our setup packages for every car and track in ACC v1.6, which features a new tire model and improved aero physics. Our testing has involved 3 professional test drivers and 4 sim racing engineers testing 6 hours per day. It’s an extensive effort.
To keep track of our updates we are sharing our thoughts and tweaks publicly via this post. It will be updated each time a bundle is released with changes.
As a reminder, not every setup has required work. If changes have been made we have added a new setup to the car/track folder with a slightly different file name.
Imola Setups
Every car bundle on Coach Dave Academy will receive the Imola track setup for free, starting with the 4 cars listed earlier in this post. We hope to release 4 more tomorrow and another 4 next week. In order to gain access to your free Imola setup: First, you must own a car bundle, then just visit your account and search for it in your download list.
Our work continues on this big project but I am proud of the progress we have made and particularly happy to be able to give you guys a bunch of new setups this week.
Much more to come.
