As most of you will know, this week marks the launch of new content in ACC.
Along with new content are some changes that bring in new tires and some tweaks to physics. Unfortunately I cannot say more on that, you’ll have to wait until the 18th for more information from Kunos.
However, I wanted to give you an update on how we plan on tackling this new update. I have been testing v1.6 extensively, it’s great, but the Coach Dave development team does not have that privilege. They have not seen any of what I have been testing, and will only gain access to the new version at the same time as you.
This is likely the biggest update we will tackle as a company and it won’t take a day for us to release updates. There are 14 GT3 cars and 16 tracks which we need to review.
Our priority during launch week will be analyzing our existing products before creating setups for new content.
Setup Updates
Having put in the hours with v1.6 I am happy to say that our ACC setups still work really well (it’s not like Kunos have rewritten ACC). They are still quicker than the defaults in the game. But I am just one person, so the aim this week is to get the entire team (3 drivers, 4 engineers) to dive much deeper into all of our setups to see what needs tweaking, and there will definitely be tweaks.
🛠If we find that setup changes are required, we will make changes and add them as new setups in the relevant track folder.
🛠If we find that setup changes are not necessary, we will not make changes. We do not make changes for the sake of it.
📊 New data for car/track combos will be provided if setup changes are made.
🎥 Onboard laps will be updated, but again, only if setup changes are made.
It’s really that simple.
After our initial analysis, the CDA team will split up, one working on new content and the other working on existing content.
What About Pricing?
In terms of pricing, we have decided not to charge for the Imola setup as it’s already been priced in with our Wet setup update. However the Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO and Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO will be charged for as they’re completely new cars.

Disclaimer: Our pricing policy will be constantly reviewed and adjusted based on the investment and work load required. For example I suspect we will make a new bundle for the UK tracks in 2021 and this will likely be a paid-for update.
