Will We Do Wet Setups?

The simple answer is yes. When it is required. We know that iRacings new tempest weather system is going to be introduced to a select number of series and cars, with new wet tyres being available for the first time.

We know the GTP class, the GT3 class and the LMP2 cars are eligible on the road racing side, with the GR86 being included for the tin-tops. On the formula side of iRacing they will include the super formula light, the FIA Formula 4 and the FF1600. All cars that we are creating setups for in season 2.

The protocol will be in the case of a wet week in the season:

  • Based on % of rainfall and track wetness, the drivers will assess whether a hybrid dry or a full wet setup is needed in addition to the dry setups for customers on that week.
  • Will ensure a single lap data run on that new wet or hybrid setup on Popometer is completed and will save the IBT files as normal.
  • Save the replay files as normal for all runs completed.
  • Hotlap video will be completed too if wet.

Lap Guides Return

Finally, we will be returning with our in-depth lap guides for a particular set of series that you can utilise alongside the setups to get up to speed quickly and efficiently each week. We will also create a wet weather video guide for you that will translate across all of your racing.

The main series we are choosing to cover for our lap guides this season to begin with are:

  • Porsche Cup with Matt Emery
  • VRS GT3 Sprint with Yuri Kasdorp
  • GT4 Series with Corentin Guinez
  • FIA F4 with Bart Horsten

Then a few weeks down the road we will introduce the FF1600 with Bart Horsten also.
