The Ultimate Guide to DLCs in ACC for 2024

There have been numerous additions to ACC in the form of DLCs, but what do they each add?

Assetto Corsa Competizione, or ACC, is a much-loved game here at Coach Dave Academy and with our sister site SimGrid. Renowned for its GT3 racing, there’s much more to enjoy in the game.

As well as including the Porsche 991 Cup and the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo in the base game, the DLC available with the game adds much more to the roster of cars. It’s the same with the tracks on offer, where the base game features classics such as Silverstone or Spa-Francorchamps and the DLC adds classics and icons from the world over. In this article we’ll dive further into the DLC on offer, in chronological order, looking at the wealth of content on offer in the game’s extra downloadable content.

Intercontinental GT Pack

The first DLC to be released for ACC in February 2020, the Intercontinental GT Pack visits four circuits from different corners of the Earth. From Bathurst in Australia to Kyalami in South Africa, from Laguna Seca in the United States to Suzuka in Japan, it showcases the best of the best that makes up the Intercontinental GT Challenge series. You can pick up setups for each of these circuits here at Coach Dave Academy.

With the Intercontinental GT Pack, racers are given tracks that each poses unique challenges that you cannot find elsewhere in ACC. Bathurst features extreme gradients as you navigate the famous Mount Panorama, with tight corners and little room for error through famous sections such as Skyline, the Dipper, and the Chase.

Kyalami is a cult classic of a track, something that F1 fans are begging for a return to whilst GT racers can enjoy the challenges of cambered corners and challenging kerbs to contend with.

Laguna Seca is an icon of American racing, with little room for error in the California hills as the track is lined with sand at every opportunity. And Suzuka is a true test of speed and bravery, from navigating the tricky esses to pushing the track limits as far as you can in the Degners and 130R.

GT4 Pack

The GT4 pack is arguably the most underrated piece of DLC on this list. Much forgotten, it is a field that has received much love from us at the Academy and SimGrid. From GT4-only series to setups for the category, there’s a lot on offer to keep you more than preoccupied.

Each car has something unique to it. From the front-running Aston Martins, Mercedes-AMGs, and Porsches, to the dark-horse Ginettas, Chevrolets, and Alpines, there’s a story to each car. If you’re looking to live on the edge, you could even pick the Maserati which is the only car in ACC to have neither Traction Control nor Anti-Lock Brakes. And you can pick up all of that and more here at the Academy.

2020 GT World Challenge Pack

The smallest of the DLC packs on this list, the 2020 GT World Challenge Pack added 2 cars and 1 track alongside a helping of liveries. However, these cars and the track were very important to carrying ACC into the future. Included in the pack were the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, the Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO, and Imola.

Whilst many people drive the Ferrari or the Mercedes-AMG as their main car, often helped by having a subscription to our setup service here at Coach Dave Academy which is regularly updated with the best setups on the market, Imola is the one piece of content here that everyone is likely to use.

British GT Pack

Whilst the base game of ACC comes with three British GT venues in Brands Hatch, Silverstone, and Spa, this DLC adds in the tracks of Donington Park, Oulton Park, and Snetterton.

Donington Park is a track known the world over for Ayrton Senna’s famous drive in the wet in 1993. It’s also an icon from the days of Group B rallying, where they visited the track for one of the many stages in the RAC Rally. However, in tin tops, it’s a staple of door-to-door racing from Redgate to Goddards and everything in between.

Oulton Park is perhaps one of the trickiest tracks in ACC, with little run-off and grass just off of the racing line. Again, this track has an odd background in the world of rallying. In 2019, it played host to the opening day of Wales Rally GB and it was due to host even more stages should the championship have returned to the UK.

Snetterton is part of a tried-and-tested formula of British tracks, being made out of an old Second World War air base. It’s a relatively flat track, however, in the wet, it can be one of the most challenging tracks in ACC with slow and flowing corners inviting the car to stray off of the racing line and into the grass and wheat fields that line the track.

You can pick up bundles for British GT setups here at Coach Dave Academy.

Challengers Pack

The Challengers Pack adds even more variety to the choice of cars in ACC. Not only does it give you an up-to-date and recently-released GT3, but it also adds even more classes to the title.

Audi’s R8 GT3 Evo II is so popular in ACC that the second edition of our Coach Dave Time Attack series consisted of an Audi-only lineup. A mid-engine beast powered by a beefy V10 motor and upgraded aerodynamics, it gives a popular platform a new lease of life and returns the four rings to the upper echelons of the pecking order. And, if you wish to be like your McCormacks and Schills, you can book one-to-one coaching sessions with any of our professional sim racers.

Outside of GT3, the Pack also features updates to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series as well as the Porsche Cup, with the Lamborghini Huracan ST Evo II and the Porsche 992 Cup bringing fresh challenges to some of the most under-represented classes on offer in ACC. In addition to this, the introduction of the Ferrari Challenge and the BMW M2 CS Cup to the platform means that you have an extra choice of straight-line weapon from Maranello and wheel-to-wheel tin-top racing from Bavaria. You can pick up setup bundles for all of these cars from Coach Dave Academy.

American Track Pack

The American Track Pack adds three new circuits to the service in the forms of Indianapolis, Watkins Glen, and the Circuit of the Americas. Three racing circuits that have all hosted F1’s United States Grand Prix, and all currently feature on GT World Challenge America’s calendar.

Indy is a legend of the racing world. The highest-capacity sports venue globally for spectators, the Road Course at the Brickyard presents challenging twists and turns and complex kerbs that mean no two cars will take similar lines around the track.

Watkins Glen is a classic from upstate New York, boasting great elevation through the twists and turns that make it the American answer to Spa.

COTA, as it is affectionately known, is a mishmash of famous corners and unique challenges. The first sector’s chicane mimics Silverstone’s Maggots and Becketts complex, the final sector’s triple-right-hander copying Istanbul Park’s triple-left-hander. This track pushes every car to its absolute limit, as well as pushing you to the very limits of the track!

You can pick up setups for the America Track Pack as standalone packages here at Coach Dave Academy.

2023 GT World Challenge Pack

The 2023 GT World Challenge pack came with one of ACC’s largest updates in its history.

The Assetto Corsa Competizione 2023 GT World Challenge DLC places you at the heart of the action from the 2023 season. This brand new DLC adds an additional 3 new cars as well as the world-famous track, Circuit Ricardo Tormo – Valencia.

The DLC pack includes;

  • The Ferrari 296 GT3 – A direct replacement for Ferrari’s 488 GT3
  • The Porsche 992 GT3 R – A direct replacement for the Porsche 911 GT3 R
  • The Lamborghini Huracàn EVO2 – A direct replacement for the first gen EVO.
  • Circuit Ricardo Tormo – Valencia

This DLC comes in line with the free update that happened in July that got you all of the 2023 teams, liveries and drivers from GT World Challenge.

GT2 Pack

The latest DLC to be added to Assetto Corsa Competizione is the GT2 Pack. Released in early 2024, it brings a suite of cars to the simulator to form a new class, the GT2 category, and adds a popular European circuit, the Red Bull Ring, to its roster. Having featured on the 2023 GT2 European Series calendar, the Austrian venue comes poetically hand in hand with the new cars.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated release of the Nurburgring Nordschleife later this year, the GT2 Pack DLC is the second large update to ACC in just 4 months.

The DLC pack includes seven pieces of content:

  • Audi R8 LMS GT2
  • KTM X-Bow GT2
  • Maserati MC20 GT2
  • Mercedes-AMG GT2
  • Porsche 991 II GT2 RS CS Evo
  • Porsche 935 GT2
  • Red Bull Ring

You can pick up setups for the GT2 class cars now as part of Coach Dave Academy’s ACC Setup Subscription.
