Week 6 Setups and Lap Guide Schedule – iRacing

Week 6 of 2022 S3 is here on iRacing, meaning there’s new car and track combinations we can help you master! As well as that, there’s a certain important race at Spa coming up this weekend…

Yep, it’s that time again! Week 6 of 2022 Season 3 on iRacing is here and with it comes a new batch of Setups and Lap Guides from our incredible team behind the scenes.

iRacing Spa 24h Setups

Before we get to the usual lap guides and setups that will be heading your way this week, we’re pleased to announce the release of 3 extra setup bundles to coincide with the iRacing 24h of Spa coming up this weekend! The bundles will include the usual qualifying and race setups as well as our standard data package – all of which will be available for the following cars:

  • BMW M4 GT3
  • Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo
  • Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo

These setups have of course all been made using the Spa 24h balance of performance, as despite looking like relatively minor changes, they do indeed have an impact on the way drivers set up their cars. Either way, any of these three cars are due to be strong contenders this weekend, so make sure to pick up the bundles via the buttons below.

Lap Guides

For Week 7 we’re two times as busy as Week 6, bringing you 4 different Lap Guides for IMSA, VRS, F3 and the Porsche Cup Series! Here’s a quick rundown of the exacts:

  • Kieran Harrison – Mid Ohio – Porsche 911 GT3R
  • Bart Horsten – Red Bull Ring – Dallara F3
  • Suellio Almeida – Sebring – Porsche 992 GT3 Cup
  • Yuri Kasdorp – Spa Francorchamps – Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo

We’ve got a real mix of tracks on our schedule this week, with some of the more iconic ones in rotation.

IMSA takes us to Mid Ohio, an unusual American circuit most popular in INDYCAR, but just right for a GT3 and the higher-speed LMP2s, both of which we provide setups for. Importantly though, the Porsche 911 GT3R really excels at lower-speed tracks such as Mid Ohio, making it a perfect choice amongst the GT3 cars on offer. Kieran will be the one taking you for a ride around the Midwest.

Sticking to the theme of GT3s, let’s shift our attention to VRS. We’re hopping back on the hype train as Yuri takes out the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for a ride at Spa, a true staple of GT3 racing. Known for its high speed and challenging swoops, there’s a real knack to mastering Spa, so come and watch Yuri guide you through the 7-kilometre Belgian circuit. This one will be especially important for those of you tackling this week’s iRacing Spa 24h!

Away from the longer races, let’s shift our focus to the real sprints. First up, Bart will be taking us for a lap around the Red Bull Ring. One of the newer cars in our setup lineup, the Dallara F3 is a beautiful midpoint between power and downforce whilst still being nimble, making it perfect for the Styrian mountains. Make sure to check out his lap guide.

Rounding out our busy Lap Guide schedule will be Suellio in the Porsche Cup car, as he takes the German beast to Sebring for Week 6 of the Porsche Cup Series. A track we usually see attacked by an IMSA-style class, the Porsche Cup is actually a comfortable fit for the track, making itself really at home on its high kerbs and technical curves.
