RENNSPORT has come a long way since it was first shown to the public back in 2022. From the ESL R1 series to a phased Beta release, it’s time to get ready to play the completed product. In this article, we’re going to look at what to expect on launch day, as well as for the future of the title.
Release Day
RENNSPORT releases to the public on November 13th, 2025. If you wish to pre-order the title, you can access it up to 72 hours earlier.
On release, RENNSPORT will be on both PC and consoles thanks to its collaboration with one-and-future WRC publishers Nacon.
The PlayStation and Xbox releases boast up to 4K 60fps in terms of performance, whilst PC players will be able to pick up the title on both Steam and Epic Games.
There are also 2 different editions of RENNSPORT available to the consumer. The Standard Edition gives you full access to the game, with exclusive liveries and the Ford Mustang GT3 available to those who pre-order.
These are also available to those who purchase the Deluxe Edition, which also comes with the first two post-launch DLC packs included as well as exclusive access to the Nürburgring Nordschleife and the Porsche 911 GT3 R RENNSPORT.
RENNSPORT R1 Esports
Players will finally get to experience the platform that has been so prevalent in the esports scene, hosting many esports competitions with hundreds of thousands of pounds on the line.
RENNSPORT have said from day 1, the platform has been catered more to the competition scene, and you can expect its online competition platform to be very good.
The series formerly known as ESL R1 is still running on the RENNSPORT platform. It continues to feature on the world stage, such as at the Esports World Cup, where BMW M Team Redline Red Bull Sim Racing saw off Virtus.pro and Team Vitality in the most recent edition.
RENNSPORT’s big selling point has been the online platform and Esports competition. In addition to competing in Daily Race competitions, you can also watch back replays from various different races throughout RENNSPORT’s history – even if you don’t own the cars!
Post-Launch DLC
As of right now, 2 post-launch DLCs have been announced for RENNSPORT: Endurance Classics Part 1, and Touring Classics Part 1.
Endurance Classics will include one circuit, the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe of Le Mans 24 Hours fame, and no less than 3 cars: the GT1 Porsche 911 and the infamous Mercedes-Benz CLK LM, and the Porsche 956 of Group C fame.
This is a very strong pack to release when it launches in late 2025, as it will be in direct competition with the release of Project Motor Racing, which will also feature prototypes and GT cars from various eras of motorsport.
Touring Classics will feature DTM classics from the Group A and early Class 1 eras. The Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI and Mercedes-Benz C-Class V6 are already on offer in rivals such as RaceRoom Racing Experience, and will also be included in other titles such as Assetto Corsa EVO in the future. The Group A BMW M3 and Mercedes-Benz AMG 190 E Evo are also iconic cars from DTM’s past, having featured in various sim racing titles over the years.
What’s worth noting is that both are listed as “Part 1.” It’s expected that Touring Classics Part 1 will be released in early 2026, after the late 2025 release of Endurance Classics Part 1.
Whilst fans are doubtlessly predicting what cars and tracks might be included, we’ll have to keep an eye out for what could be included.
Final Thoughts
It has been a topsy-turvy start for RENNSPORT, with many changes in direction (no pun intended) to the title. For now, let’s all see how this launch is received, how it performs on the PlayStation and Xbox titles, and if the crossplay online multiplayer is one that players will enjoy.
