Delta 2.1 Introducing Compare

We have just launched a brand new update to Delta. Coined Compare, this latest update gives you the chance to compare your previous sessions in detail

Never one to rest on our laurels, we bring you the latest update for Coach Dave Delta to complete the first quarter of the year and it’s a pretty big deal!

Delta 2.1 now allows you to directly compare two or more separate sessions together for the two sims that are currently compatible with Delta, ACC and iRacing.

We also have a host of new quality-of-life and feature updates to accompany the latest Compare feature.

See The New Update In Action

New User Interface

The latest UI on the home page has had a small tweak incorporating a new feature, you now get to see a new stats feature which you can see is related to your driving time, how many sessions you’ve done and how many laps you’ve completed per sim.

These stats refresh every single day for you, ready for your next day of practicing, racing, testing and comparing.

New History Page

You’ll see a new redesign on the history page of Coach Dave Delta. This has now become a functional page ready for you to use with Compare.

Upon loading into your session history for the first time you will see your entire catalogue filtered by date and time they were completed. You can further filter the history search with our new game tabs at the top, this allows you to search by either ACC or iRacing.

The history page gives you all the information you need such as which track you were testing, which car you were in, which game you were on and your lap data, just in case you forget which session you needed to check.

Delta Compare

The key main feature of this update is Delta Compare.

Delta Compare now allows you to compare two or more sessions from the same circuit together. It takes your previous live sessions and reloads your historical data to get this information. So you’ll see all your original stint data, lap times, fastest laps, temperatures etc like you’ve just completed a live session.

Once your session and data have loaded you will see a new compare tab next to your session, hitting that will load a search mode showing all your previous sessions at the same track, regardless of car choice, so you can also compare your sessions with any car combination.

The search mode will know which session is already open and will be blanked out, so you can’t load two of the same, but you can load one or multiple sessions at once to compare as much data as you need.

Invaluable Data

This Delta compare option gives you so much invaluable information at your fingertips to make the best decision possible when preparing for a race or championship.

Delta Compare can now help you determine which car is the fastest at a particular track, or which setup is best for your car at a certain track or in certain track conditions. You can compare how tyre wear is affected by heat and temperature changes with the setup you’re running.

You can also see which car is faster in qualifying trim, which car is faster in race trim and if it’s more suited for shorter stints or longer stints.

You can even compare the differences between a fixed setup and open setup series in the case of iRacing where they tend to have two of the same series at alternating times for specific cars, much like the iRacing Porsche Cup fixed and open series we sponsor.

Coming Soon

In the second quarter of the year, we will be looking to add even more game compatibility with Coach Dave Delta so keep an eye out for that.

We are also working on bringing even more data analysis to Delta which is a highly requested feature from our users.

New Jardier Setups

Finally, to finish this latest release blog off, Jardier has some new setup combinations added to Delta that you can start using and comparing with right away. The following combinations are now live:

CarTrack
BMW M4Bathurst
Donington Park
McLaren 720s EVOValencia
