Delta gets a NEW LOOK!
We’ve made improvements to nearly every feature and area in Delta to enhance design consistency, readability, and ease of use. We hope you like it. Let’s go ahead and show you what’s new.
New Dashboard
We’ve completely overhauled the main dashboard, making starting up your favourite sim, reviewing your most recent sessions, reading our latest blog posts, and seeing your upcoming SimGrid events, a whole lot better!
Down the left-hand side, you will see new widgets to click into your sim of choice, along with your usual home page, history, and settings widgets.
You now have clearer buttons at the bottom of each sim to analyse your session history and start the games, and we have more improvements planned for the dashboard in future updates as well. See the new Delta here.
New UI and Features
Whilst in Delta, you will now see that the overall UI has been updated and enhanced. The visuals of the text, numbers and graphs are now enlarged. This was a must-have since most of us sit at least a meter away from the screen. That small text was hard to see and analyse from a distance.
Updates to our button styling have also been made to help improve consistency and navigation across the app.
Improved Graphics and Widgets
As these beautifully illustrated graphics show, we have overhauled many parts of the vital information you need to view. Making it easier to access, separate and define all parameters of the app. Check them out here.
Including the fuel calculator, tyre temperature widgets, reference lap data and your own stint data. We have also moved around certain parts of the app so it’s cleaner and in the right areas, so it flows better.
Drag & Drop
One of our simplest, yet most effective updates to Delta is our new drag-and-drop feature for picking and choosing laps you wish to have as your primary lap and your reference lap when comparing two of your laps side by side. Highlighted in Blue and Yellow. You now drag and drop a lap time of your choice into the relevant space and voila! Test it for yourself.
You can also load pro reference laps as usual to compare your data against, but this has also been made easier. Previously, we had a small folder widget that would let you search for a reference lap to add into the driving and data pages. Now we have a nice big reference lap box on the bottom left side of the app.
Other New Features & Fixes
Share & Compare: When viewing shared sessions (via share link), you can now download the shared session’s data so you can load it into your own Delta app and use it as a reference! Rather than just seeing the individual session in a new tab to analyse it by itself.
Gran Turismo 7: Do you use DG Edge? We have an update for you that went under the radar between the last update and this update. Go to your settings and connect your DG Edge account to easily see and share your driving data with other DG Edge members! If you’ve not heard of our new partnership with DG Edge before, take a look at this here.
Fuel: We have fixed the fuel widget on the driving and data screens. Before, it was not correctly showing the fuel drain over the lap, this how now been rectified for all sims.
SimGrid: On the dashboard of the app we have fixed the order of the upcoming events on SimGrid. Previously they were been scrolled through in a random order, but now show in priority of start date and time.
