Mercedes Brings The Thunder With 1.8 Release

Coach Dave Academy are proud to release the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO updated setup bundles for GTWC/IGTC for V1.8 of Assetto Corsa Competizione.

We are pleased to announce that Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO setups have now been released from the team at Coach Dave Academy.

This week, the GTWC/IGTC setup bundle will be available for purchase, with the BGT bundle coming next week. All available tracks are also now populated on the database for subscribers.

Having had it’s fuel consumption lowered for V1.8, the Mercedes-AMG is a little less rear heavy. This means setup becomes slightly less of a compromise compared to before, even if still a little difficult. In general, the car’s main characteristics are still very prevalent. It has incredible traction and acceleration at slow speed, It has class leading ABS/TC systems that allow you to lean on the electronics on both corner entry/exit without losing time.

Alongside that, there is a large inherent understeer in the car that allows drivers to push it fairly hard whilst remaining stable. The front axle is definitely the limiting factor when it comes to setup and something we worked hard to eradicate without losing its stability.

It appears very strong at tracks it was before such as Bathurst, Suzuka, Zandvoort and Snetterton, whilst also not having many real weak tracks either. Thanks to the fuel consumption tweaks, it has also become a much more viable endurance car compared to V1.7.

Overall, drivers that loved the Mercedes on V1.7 will still like it on the new CDA3 updates, we look forward to everyone trying the new setups out.

How Do I Get The New Setups?

To access the new CDA3 setups that have just been released, all you need to do is to visit the website and select the new CDA3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 bundles under the ACC category.

If you’re an existing Mercedes-AMG customer enter the MERCEDESCDA3 coupon code during checkout to save over 50% on your purchase. You must be logged in for the coupon to work.
