Our Plan For Season 3 iRacing

With week 1 of Season 3 round the corner, Coach Dave Academy is here to provide their content plan for the next 12 weeks in iRacing.

As we are in week 13 right now, everyone has a little bit of downtime to regather and recharge themselves, so we thought it would be a good time also to give you some light reading.

We bring you our content plan for the upcoming iRacing season, which heads into season 3 of the year. Below we outline what series we are covering, what cars we are covering and who is building the setups for Coach Dave Academy.

We include a brand new series, we of course include the two brand new GT3 cars in the Corvette and Mustang and we bring back all of your favourite series across sports cars and formulas. Team 53 returns to help Coach Dave Academy with short oval setups again as well.

Advanced Mazda Series

  • Mazda MX-5 – Adam Isaksson

Unfortunately for you Touring Car advocates, Coach Dave Academy has had to drop the TCR Virtual Challenge, simply because our data showed us it was the least loved car and series combination being used on Coach Dave Delta. With only 1000 sessions being generated across the season for TCR. Comparing that to the Mazda MX-5 which had 24,000 sessions generated on Delta, it seemed a no-brainer for us to include the Advanced Mazda Series now for season 3 instead.

We will continue to bring you our weekly lap guides for the Porsche Cup, Sports Car Challenge and GT3 Sprint series alongside our professional setups.

Formula Racing Series

Formula B – Super Formula IMSIM Series

  • Superformula SF23 – Manu Rey O’largo

Formula C – Super Formula Lights

  • Dallara 324 – Marvin Strehl

FIA Formula 4 Challenge

  • FIA F4 – Bart Horsten

Formula 1600 Thrustmaster Trophy

  • Ray FF1600 – Bart Horsten

We return with all four cars and series we covered last season in our formula category of content. All four series showed strong participation and session generation during Season 2 so there was no reason to drop anything here. We will continue to bring you lap guides for the Formula 4 and setups from some of the best in the business.

Short Oval Racing Series

All oval setups are provided by Team 53 via Coach Dave Delta!

Advanced Legends Cup

  • Legends Ford ’34 Coupe

SK Modified Weekly Series

  • NASCAR Whelen Tour/SK Modified

Super Late Model Series

  • Super Late Model

CARS Late Model Stock Tour

  • Late Model Stock

NASCAR Tour Modified Series

  • NASCAR Whelen Tour/SK Modified

It was great to get season 2 under our belts with Team 53, our first season offering oval setups to our user base. So we are just going to go from strength to strength in this department. We will return with the same 5 short oval series with Team 53 offering their expertise and setups for you to get into that winning groove on the oval scene.

Special Events In Season 3

There are several special events during season 3 that we will be covering, starting with the 6h of Watkins Glen during the 14th and 16th of June which is right around the corner in fact. So expect these setups to drop next week during week 1 of the new season.

We will also cover the Spa Francorchamps 24-hour event that happens between the 19th and 21st of July this year, no doubt including every GT3 car that is available for the event.

Finally, with our increase in usage for the Mazda MX5 we will be looking into the possibility of including the Martinsville MX-500 special event during that first weekend of August.
