What a year this is turning out to be for Coach Dave Delta subscribers!
We now move into the world of Oval Racing on iRacing thanks to a very unique opportunity that will see Coach Dave Academy and Team 53 form a partnership to bring short track oval setups to Delta.
For a while now we have been getting requests and feedback from customers asking when we will bring oval setups to the Coach Dave Delta subscription and we are so happy to finally deliver on that.
This partnership is thanks to James Parker and Justin from Team53 having a meeting and discussing a few ideas. Justin’s enthusiasm and professionalism, together with his expert setups made it an easy decision for us to join forces.
Who Are Team 53?
Team 53 are short track oval racing experts, headed up by Justin Laxton who will be the main man behind the setups, with over 10 years experience on iRacing and currently ranked in the top 100 oval sim racers with 7500+ iR.
Justin serves as a driver coach and works with many drivers on the service via Team53. Team53 was founded in 2023 and builds short track setups for use on iRacing, but more importantly, develops drivers through various tools.
Team53 also serves as his real-life racing team. In 2023, Justin began racing in real life, purchasing a Late Model Series and running weekly at Jefferson Speedway. For 2024, he plans on running weekly at Jefferson, and Madison International Speedway.
What Oval Setups Do You Get?
As Team 53 are short track oval specialists, the partnership begins with the main focus on 5 short track oval series in particular and these are:
All setups will be uploaded to Delta following the weekly schedule just like with our sports car and formula car setups, with qualifying and race setups, engineers notes and *lap guides to accompany.
In fact, we did soft launch this partnership last week, so even though we move into week 2 today, you can access all setups to all the series above from the beginning of the season meaning you don’t miss out.
