Another week, another update, another round of quality-of-life improvements for Delta, and this time it’s a big one focused on the Delta Leaderboards, which have been completely reworked. A new layout, deeper data and stats, and a whole set of new filters arrive to help you find the exact laps worth comparing yourself against.
This has been a major project for the team, and it’s all built around one goal: making it easier than ever to pick a lap that’s near-identical to yours, so you know the data you’re comparing against is as relevant as possible to make you faster.
Your New Main Leaderboard Menu
Open the Leaderboards, and you’ll be greeted by a redesigned layout that’s simpler, clearer and much easier to use.
On the left, choose your sim, track and car, and Delta loads every Leaderboard lap you’ve completed in that combination. Click any of your laps, and you’re straight into comparing yourself against everyone else on the Leaderboards.
Very simple to use.
Brand-new Filter Options
This is the heart of the update. You can now filter the Leaderboards to the same laps that match your situation, filtering by:
- Session type – Practice, Qualifying or Race
- Setup type – Fixed or Open (an LMU-only feature)
- Driver type – Our pro laps or your own laps
- Video Analysis – Show only laps that have video attached
- Game patch – The current or previous version of a game
- Conditions – fuel level, air temp and track temp
Together, these mean you’re never comparing apples to oranges again. Want to see only Qualifying laps, on the current patch, in similar temperatures to yours? A couple of clicks and there they are.
A standout new feature: when you use the pro/your driver type filter, Delta now loads every pro lap done in every car at that circuit, all at once. That takes away the hassle of searching car by car and makes it instantly clear which cars are quickest at a given track – a powerful way to scope out a circuit before you commit to a car, or to compare which car has the best qualifying lap times compared to race lap times.
Richer Data in a Live Session
When you’re viewing Leaderboard lap times in a live session, you can now hover over any lap to see the conditions behind it – you’ll see track temp, air temp and fuel level used instantly before you even start filtering. It’s a quick way to gauge how comparable a lap is at a glance, and to decide what’s worth digging into.
The Same Data from your Session History
If you’d rather review after the fact, the Leaderboards work in exactly the same way from your Session History, with all the same functions and filters. The only difference is how you get there: instead of a live leaderboard, you simply click on the ranks in your history to bring the Leaderboards up.
Straight into Side-By-Side Video Analysis
Leaderboards and Video Analysis now work even better together in Delta. When you see a lap you want to compare against with a video icon next to it, click it and that video loads right alongside yours, ready for side-by-side comparison – the same Video Analysis you already know, now just a click away from the board.
