Delta 5.5 introduces Video Analysis, a live video playback synced to telemetry data, inputs, and racing lines. For the first time, you can watch a professional driver’s lap in Delta and see exactly what they’re doing with the car, all in perfect sync with the data traces you already know and love, enhancing how you look at telemetry data even more.
This isn’t a simple YouTube video running alongside a graph either. This is a frame-by-frame, input-by-input synchronised video that lets you scroll over any corner, focus on any sequence, and understand visually what the telemetry data has been telling you all along.
How Video Analysis Works
Open the Delta leaderboard for any car and track combination and you’ll now see a video icon next to our pro drivers laps. Click one, and the lap will load, and play back with live telemetry synced underneath, focusing on the usual braking, throttle, steering, speed, gear selection, all moving in real time alongside the onboard footage.
View Any Moment
The video can be enlarged or minimised at any time and you can drag the data controller to jump straight to the corner or corners you’re working on. No watching four minutes of footage to find the one braking zone you care about.
Focus On A Sequence
Isolate a specific section of corners, study how a pro handles the chicane at Monza or the Esses at Suzuka, lock the view to that sequence and watch it on repeat with the data overlaid.
Watch Full Sectors or Laps
Watch the entire lap flow together, or break it down sector by sector to see how pace is built across the whole circuit.
Data and Video Combined
Reading a braking point on a graph tells you when someone brakes. Watching a car hit the brakes at the 100-metre board while the data trace underneath it tells you where. That’s the difference Video Analysis makes. This is Data and Video combined.

What This Means for How You Improve
Until now, using Delta to improve your driving has been about using the data via graphs (as beautiful as they are), alongside Auto Insights telling you where you’re losing time and how to improve. This Data showed you the difference between your inputs and the reference laps, and it all came together to make you faster, faster, but you still missed that visual aspect.
Now, things are going to become even easier to improve your lap times because we solve that problem.
Braking Points Become Visual
Instead of “the reference brakes 15 metres later than you” you can now see the exact visual marker on track where the pro driver lifts off the throttle and hits the brake. That’s information you can take straight into your next lap.
You Now See The Racing lines
A racing line on a track map shows you where the car goes. Video shows you how it gets there, the angle of approach, how much kerb is used, how early or late the turn-in happens relative to real track features you can recognise.
Visual Throttle Application
Watching a pro driver progressively feed the throttle out of a slow corner, and seeing how the car responds, teaches you something that a throttle trace alone can’t fully communicate.
See How To Attack A Corner
The relationship between trail braking and rotation, the smoothness vs aggression, the way the car settles or flicks before the apex, these are visual concepts that become obvious when you watch them happen on screen with the data confirming what you’re seeing.
What’s Available Now (Phase 1)
Video Analysis is now available in Delta as a beta feature that we are trialling with LMU and iRacing first, to get it perfect before we expand to other sims at a later date, with the library of video-enabled laps continuously growing as our professional drivers add more car and track combinations each week.
Just look for the video icon next to the driver names on the leaderboard. If the icon is there, the lap has video analysis available. These are onboard laps from the Coach Dave team, synced to their telemetry data, available for you to study in detail.

What’s Coming Next (Phase 2)
In Phase 2, every Delta subscriber will be able to record and analyse their own laps with video synced to telemetry. Your onboard footage, your inputs, your data, all synchronised and ready to scroll through, compare, and learn from.
That means you’ll be able to watch your own lap side by side with a professional reference video and analyse both together, seeing the exact moments where your driving is different to a pro.
For now, get stuck into the pro laps and start seeing where the lap time can be found, and we will update you when this part of the Video Analysis feature is ready.
