Don’t hang up the gloves just yet because if you didn’t already know, iRacing have graced us with an extra week of official racing due to how the season falls. So this is not the final week of the season. An extra week has been added to 2024 season 4 to adjust the timing of how each season lands within the 2025 season. This isn’t the first time iRacing have done this either with the most recent ‘leap week’ happening in 2020.
Fuji Speedway and the 8 hour Special Event wasn’t the final special of the year we were covering either. Thanks to our oval partnership with Team 53, we are covering the Winter Derby at Five Flags Speedway in the Super Late Models. So if short track oval racing is your thing, then sign off your year in style with this Special Event, using Team 53s special setups.
Considered to be the most prestigious Super Late Model race, the annual event draws the best short track racers for a 300 lap showdown on the half mile. This Super Session event invites the top points finishers from a weeklong series to do battle in a grand final to determine the overall event champion.
