Position: Drivers and Engineers

The Coach Dave Academy setup team are looking to grow their roster of professional sim drivers and engineers.

We pride ourselves in producing car setups of the highest quality. Our ambition is to create products that are built off engineering fundamentals, created by drivers who deliver high quality feedback to professional engineers.

The setup team work together closely – sharing information for the greater good.

We are proud to say that all our drivers and engineers are paid for their time behind the wheel. We are not looking for volunteers and instead would like to uplift the people who work with us, turning you into a professional sim driver/engineer is our aim.

You will spend time with F1 simulator drivers, professional sim drivers and highly qualified engineers from all types of motorsport disciplines. Our team get on very well and naturally work toward a common goal of delivering world class setups for drivers of all skill levels.

Drivers

We are looking for drivers who value constistency and feedback over ultimate speed. You will be expected to work with an engineer during 2.5 hour sessions, focusing on one track and car combination in your sim of choice.

Sessions are run by your engineer and scheduled 1 week ahead of time.

We are not looking for the fastest drivers but instead want drivers who are consistent and provide good feedback. Of course you need speed but we are not looking for Aryton Senna. We are looking for world class test drivers.

  • Contract Work: This is contract based work and is not a full time position.
  • Location: This is a remote work position.
  • Hours: Each car/track session is 2.5 hours long and will be scheduled 1 week ahead of time between yourself and a designated engineer.

Engineers

We are looking for highly experienced engineers in ACC or iRacing. Ideally we will choose candidates who are qualified engineers because we want to ground our setups in real life fundamentals.

Engineers with a professional qualification are ideal, however if you are able to display a deep knowledge of car setup and have extensive experience in ACC or iRacing we will consider your application.
