Delta For GT7: How To Use Delta Replay

Learn how to use Delta Replay properly with this walk through.

Hey there, are you struggling to find those final tenths? Or are you completely baffled by how fast the pro drivers are? Well, we are here to show you some magic! It’s called Delta Replay! and it’s going to revolutionise how you can get faster!

How Does This Work You Ask?

Essentially Delta Replay lets you export any lap time, from any car, at any circuit with a replay file from the global leaderboards and import it into the Delta app. This allows you to use that lap to compare your lap time and data and learn how the best in GT7 do it.

Ensure Delta Is Ready To Record

First, you must ensure the Coach Dave Delta app is open and ready to record the replay telemetry. Next, enter the online sports mode and go into any global leaderboard from the daily races or time trial challenge. When you click on the global leaderboards you’ll see lots of times, some will have a replay icon, and some won’t. Find the highest-placed time with a replay, click that time and hit ‘play replay’.

Watch The Leaderboard Replay

In the replay session hit ‘play replay’ again and this is where the Delta magic happens. It will pick up the replay session you are watching. As soon as the car crosses the startline to begin the lap, it will automatically start capturing the telemetry data of the replay live as if you are doing the lap yourself.

See The Data Import In Real-time

In Delta, if you jump over to ‘analyse data’ you will then see that data being transmitted and you can watch all of the drivers’ inputs live as it’s happening. When the driver crosses the line to finish the lap Delta will automatically stop recording the data and you will now see the telemetry data from the entire lap.

Save The Telemetry Data To Compare

Now with the replay complete in Delta, you have the option to download and save that data ready for you to upload and analyse at a later date against one of your own laps. To do this you just need to click on the download icon you see next to ‘my laps’ which is situated on the left side of Delta. You can repeat this process as many times as you like with as many combinations as you wish.

Replay Walkthrough With Coach Dave

I have also created a video walkthrough of the Delta Replay function in Gran Turismo 7 of how to use it properly as well, so if a visual walkthrough is more your thing to understand how it works, enjoy!
