Season 2 for iRacing is here!
We have been busy working hard in the past few days to ensure content for day 1 is released for Season 2 of 2022.
Alongside exciting content additions such as the Vantage GT4, Hyundai Velostar, the Formula 4 car and Winton Raceway, iRacing also changed the aero maps and tyre model of the GT3 cars ahead of the new season. This meant a lot of testing for us to determine how and why setups will need to be changed for this season in IMSA and VRS. I can confirm that the team overall have been impressed with the changes made to GT3 cars, especially that extra security and grip you feel at high speed now.
What We Are Focussing On
In many ways, it is business as usual for the team as we focus on the same core series as before. That includes IMSA, VRS, Porsche Cup, as well as the fixed data for both the fixed Porsche Cup and Ferrari challenge series.
However an addition to season 2 is the focus also on TCR’s in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. To begin with, we will focus on the 2 cars we feel have the most potential right now in the Hyundai Elantra and Audi RS 3. As the season progresses we will evaluate expanding into the other cars in the category.
