We’re looking for a creative, hands-on video editor and producer to join Coach Dave Academy, working directly with David Perel and our marketing team. You’ll be the person turning hours of real onboard footage into stories people actually want to watch, and then tying it all together with sim racing clips, interviews, and b-roll.
This isn’t a job for someone who needs a detailed brief every day. We meet with our YouTube strategist every two weeks and between those calls, you’ll take the lead, plan your edits, and bring ideas to the table.
What You’ll Do
- Edit real-life onboard footage for our Coach Dave YouTube channel.
- Capture and mix in sim racing footage for context and storytelling.
- Create long-form YouTube videos, plus Shorts and Reels.
- Work with our sim racing team to get race footage, commentary, and voiceovers.
- Collaborate with our designer for thumbnails and visuals.
- Add screen titles and motion graphics directly into your edits.
- Travel to a few races each year to film behind-the-scenes and trackside content (equipment provided).
- Manage and look after the filming gear when travelling.
What You’ll Need
- Proven editing experience, ideally for YouTube.
- Any pro editing software you like (we’ll cover licences if needed).
- Comfortable taking initiative and running with ideas.
- Fluent English and strong communication.
- A passion for motorsport and sim racing.
- Reliable editing setup and solid internet.
- Passport and visa that allows travel within Europe.
- Available during UK working hours.
Nice to Have
- Experience filming with GoPros, DSLRs or action cams.
- Familiarity with YouTube uploads, tags, and analytics.
- Basic understanding of racing terms and storytelling through data and emotion.
You’ll get to work directly with a professional racing driver, contribute to one of sim racing’s biggest YouTube channels, and help shape the way Coach Dave tells its stories.
