Where do I find the updates to my setups when they are released?
You can find updates to your iRacing setups in your profile area on the website. By clicking on the car that you own and then the track folders in your download section, the new setups will be situated within that specific track folder.
What are the ideal tyre pressures and temperatures?
For iRacing, tire pressures and temperatures are very sensitive. Keeping them within safe limits and not overloading/sliding the tire is crucial in ensuring the temperatures stay under control. Below is the threshold for GT3 cars in regard to tire pressures and temperatures:Â
- Cold pressures in the garage: MinimumÂ
- Hot pressures on track: 1.50-1.55 barÂ
- Hot temperatures: 80-90c when out on track
How do I create an account for CDA and is there anything I need to know?
Once you have got past the checkout phase of the purchase of your setup bundles/products on the Coach Dave Academy website, you will have the option to create an account in a secondary email that is sent out to you. Please ensure the email address you use to create your account matches the one you used to purchase your products.Â
This is because the account will link to your purchase and will then show in your profile area. This is where all your products from Coach Dave Academy can be accessed and downloaded onto your PC.
How often will the setups be updated and is that a free service?
Once you become a subscriber of Coach Dave Academy iRacing Setups, you will immediately be eligible for free updates to your setups as and when iRacing makes substantial changes to the car/physics models that demand a refresh of the existing setups.
All new content that is released will also be accessible to you as long as you are an existing and recurring subscriber of our service. If you are a one-time purchaser of a setup bundle, you will not be eligible for the above.
How do I set up Motec to look at the Coach Dave Academy data files?
If you want to take advantage of our data files to compare your data with ours, but don’t have Motec installed, this helpful guide will show you how to set it up:
https://coachdaveacademy.com/tutorials/how-to-use-motec-data-in-iracing/
Our free iRacing Motec toolkit can be downloaded right here: https://coachdaveacademy.com/product/motec-data-toolkit-for-iracing/
Why 100% track grip?
We took the decision to create the setups in 100% grip on our server due to the evolving conditions you would face in an endurance/sprint race. Most servers will be running with dynamic track selected and so the circuit will rubber up as time goes by.
For that reason, we thought it was best to optimize the setups on a track surface that would represent what you will experience in a longer endurance race.
When Do I receive my content with the season-based schedule?
When you subscribe to each season for your desired car you will unlock the whole season’s worth of content.
Initially, you will receive all the track folders from that specific season in your download, with some being unpopulated or empty. Do not panic if this is the case, this is just the folder structure, they will be updated throughout the weeks automatically as we progress through the season right through to week 12.
