Amongst a raft of free updates and upgrades to the sim, a new car completes the LMP3 roster and adds more competition to an already-competitive pack. All in time for the greatest race of them all.
2026 Upgrades and Updates
The 2026 World Endurance Championship has seen plenty of changes. The all-new Genesis Magma Racing GMR-001 was recently added for free in its own update, as Hyundai’s luxury brand replaced Porsche Penske Motorsport and the 963 in the top class of endurance racing. Other cars brought fresh updates and upgrades, such as the Toyota TR010 and the BMW M Hybrid V8.
Studio 397 worked with manufacturers to ensure that the 2026-spec cars were as similar to their real-world counterparts as possible. It may not be the complete roster yet, with 2026’s Cadillac and Alpine machines still under development ahead of the next update, but the best news is that these updates will arrive free for all users who currently own the cars in LMU.
And it’s not just the cars that get an update. Some of the tracks have seen some changes in the offer season. Most notable is arguably the title track of the sim, whose iconic bridge has changed for the 2026 edition.

A New Car – ADESS AD25
ADESS’ AD25 joins Le Mans Ultimate in the latest update. A free car for all to enjoy, the AD25 is the final third-generation LMP3 machine to join the sim.
Powered by the same twin-turbo 3.5L Toyota V6 as its rivals, the ADESS made its debut in 2025 with veteran outfit Nielsen Racing. Compared to its rivals, the ADESS has a more curved nose. Its nose ends slightly in front of the headlights, whilst some of its rivals have a more protruding nose section, and its rear wing endplates are also noticeably different to its rivals as they feature a cutaway that their rivals do not. A final difference that you might be able to tell is along the sides of the ADESS. It features a sleek cooling package, with 4 gills on the side, a hint of what the designers had in mind.
Whilst the AD25 does not compete in the European Le Mans Series, as its rivals do, it does feature in the Le Mans Cup. Nielsen Racing fields 2 cars in the series, with Petit Le Mans and Rolex 24 class winner Matt Bell behind the wheel of one machine and former Red Bull Junior Jules Caranta behind the wheel of the other in 2026.
The Complete LMP3 Package
The ADESS AD25 completes the LMP3 Gen 3 lineup in Le Mans Ultimate, joining the Duqueine D09, Ginetta G61-LT-P3 Evo, and Ligier JS P325 from the European Le Mans Series’ class of 2025. The previous cars were added as part of the 3 ELMS Packs, which can each be purchased separately or as part of a Season Pass. These packs also included 3 different venues from the ELMS in various configurations: Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Circuit Paul Ricard, and Silverstone.

Other Updates
Included in V1.3.3 are a few other smaller updates. Some of these are nice touches of fan service, such as Polish localisation just in time for the anniversary of a certain Pole’s win at Le Mans, whilst others will enhance the racing experience as the LMP3 starts to get rolled out into daily races. But we can expect more just around the corner, with Studio 397 promising news on a new season pass in time for the V1.4 update.
Now you’re up to speed, why not jump into some racing? SimGrid, our sister site, is hosting many communities whose series complement LMU’s great roster of daily racing. And, better yet, some of these include the LMP3. What’s not to love?
