Coach Dave Delta is an application that goes way beyond setups. Delta is your personal Race Engineer, Coach, Analysis and Telemetry Tool. It installs all of your setups automatically anytime you join a session; it will help you understand your data, improve your driving techniques and get faster as a driver. This guide shows you how to install it to make use of all of its features.
Step 1: Purchase Delta
Ok, this one might be obvious, but we have to start at the top. If you’ve done Step 1 already, go straight to Step 2. To download and install Delta, you need to be a Coach Dave Delta subscriber. To become a subscriber, please follow the link below:
Step 2: Download The App
Now that you are subscribed, your first job is to go to your main account area on the website, which can be achieved by clicking on this URL. Once there, you will be greeted with 3 columns on the homepage at the top. Please download the Delta app using the “Download” button in the first column on the left.
Step 3: Install The App
Once downloaded, you will see a zipped folder; you need to unzip it. In there, you will see an .exe file. Run the .exe file on your PC, installing it to the destination of your choice. Please note that you should ‘whitelist’ Delta from your Virus Scanner to avoid any issues, or if anti-virus software flags it, click ‘allow always’ so you have no issues with Delta being recognised on your PC.
Step 4: Onboarding
If you are a first-time user, you must click ‘Get Started’ where you will be guided through the basics of Delta. This will give you hands-on experience, where you’ll learn how to use some of its features, familiarising yourself with the app before you’ve even set a lap.
Don’t worry if you are not in the rig either; the Delta tutorial will load dummy sessions for you to work through. You can do these as fast or as slow as you like, and can restart the tutorial anytime from your Delta settings page. We recommend you don’t skip this.
Once complete, the final step is (re)connecting Discord and Delta. This will allow you to log in to Delta and access all the new features it offers.
Step 5: Your Settings
One thing we like to recommend once all connected is going back into your settings page and turning on all relevant tools. This includes Leaderboards, Video Capture, and opening Delta when you start your PC – this means you’ll never have to remember to start Delta, and you’ll always ensure your laps, sessions and data are saved for you to use our Video Analysis and Leaderboard features properly.
Step 6: Go Racing
Once that’s done, the only thing left for you to do is go racing. Jump into your sim of choice (that’s compatible with Delta) and start driving. You pick the sim, car, track and session type, and Delta works its magic, installing your setups automatically.
Once your session is complete, you can analyse your own laps, compare against a pro, share your data with your friends, check all of your previous sessions, see where you rank on the global leaderboards, check out the AI Auto Insights to see where you can instantly improve, and compare your lap side-by-side with Video Analysis, using the most beautiful UI, graphs, track maps and data in sim racing.
You also get access to the Never Lift coaching course, you get discounts on 1-to-1 coaching and hardware from Asetek, plus much more.
Thank you for joining Delta.
