The Complete LMGT3 Cars Guide for Le Mans Ultimate

Le Mans Ultimate now has all the 2024 and 2025 LMGT3 machines for you to race from the World Endurance Championship. Let’s get into them.

As Le Mans Ultimate moves into Version 1.0, it has also expanded its LMGT3 class exponentially, to be fully up to date for all of the 2024 and 2025 WEC seasons.

Following on from the very first 2024 LMGT3 DLC, the game has gone through a plethora of LMGT3 DLCs, updates, and free content drops to complete the entire roster of GT3 cars from the World Endurance Championship.

You can now get on track in the Mercedes AMG LMGT3, Lexus RC F LMGT3, Lamborghini Huracan Evo LMGT3, Ferrari 296 LMGT3, McLaren 720s LMGT3 Evo, BMW M4 LMGT3 Evo, Corvette Z06 GT3.R, Porsche 911 LMGT3 R, Ford Mustang LMGT3 and Aston Martin Vantage LMGT3.

Bringing you all 10 manufacturers from the World Endurance Championship to life through the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

The History of GT3 Racing in WEC

The LMGT3 class was first introduced to the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2024, replacing the previous GTE category. This transition aimed to align the WEC’s GT3 racing with global GT3 regulations, fostering greater manufacturer participation and team diversity. Which they achieved.

In its inaugural 2024 season, the LMGT3 grid featured 18 entries from renowned manufacturers such as Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Porsche.

Each manufacturer supplied two cars, contributing to a competitive and varied field. A complete 180 to the four manufacturers that were present on the grid for the final GTE season in 2023.

The 2025 season continues with a stacked grid in the LMGT3 class. Notably, Mercedes has now joined the LMGT3 category, partnering with Iron Lynx to field the Mercedes-AMG GT3, marking a significant return for the marque to endurance racing, which you can now race thanks to LMU’s latest update.

LMGT3 Cars in Le Mans Ultimate

In Le Mans Ultimate, the LMGT3 class replicates the World Endurance Championship’s (WEC) GT3 category, introduced in 2024 to replace the GTE class. The game features a diverse lineup of LMGT3 cars from renowned manufacturers through various DLC packs for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Every Advantage needed for LMU

2024 DLC Pack 3

As part of DLC pack 3 Le Mans Ultimate introduced three new cars to the platform. The BMW M4 GT3, Ferrari 296 GT3 and the Corvette Z06 GT3.R. Alongside DLC pack 3 (LMU) released a free DLC that included the McLaren 720s GT3. All of which arrived with the official teams, drivers and liveries from the 2024 season.

2024 DLC Pack 4

Pack 4 arrived at the start of 2025. As part of this pack, Le Mans Ultimate introduced two more GT3 machines in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3 R. Alongside DLC pack 4, they released the Ford Mustang GT3 as a free DLC. All of which again, arrived with the official teams, drivers and liveries from the 2024 season.

2024 DLC Pack 5

Released slightly later than anticipated on June 10th was DLC Pack 5, right before the 2025 24H of Le Mans. It came with the final two LMGT3 machines to complete the 2024 WEC lineup, with the Lamborghini Huracan LMGT3 Evo2 and Lexus RC F LMGT3.

Version 1.0 2025

This latest version of LMU took the game out of early access and into a fully operational V1. It also brought the game up to date and completed the 2025 season with two new machines, the Valkyrie Hypercar and the Mercedes AMG LMGT3.

A New GT3 Tyre Model for Le Mans Ultimate

Heading into the latter part of 2025, the LMGT3 class in Le Mans Ultimate has another revised tyre model, looking to revamp the class and how the cars handle, so you can experience better and closer racing.

Atmospheric conditions such as the air density now impact tyres, downforce, drag, cooling, engine power and fuel. These values are now different at every track in the game based on their location in the world, bringing another realistic touch to the game.

Previously, all of these conditions were the same value for every car at every track except for Interlagos. All cars now react slightly differently to these changeable conditions.

The sensitivity of the tyre has been adjusted in terms of heat and cooling build-up, going through some sizeable changes to achieve this; tyres are now less sensitive overall to heat spikes. So no more overheating dramatically and losing grip suddenly.

The overall balance of the GT3 cars on the newly-tweaked physics model (yes, aero has been adjusted too) has been shifted rearwards as well, this is to combat the snappy slides you get on the limit when the tyre is at the peak of its slip tolerance.

This should mean that you can feel when the car is about to let go, and why, rather than before, which was instantaneous.

It might take a little getting used to, but you can really use the throttle to help your rotation as well. The drivers skilled in throttle control will benefit the most, but being smooth is also a key element, as tyre wear can be a real problem the further into a stint you go. This is due to the nature of how you need to drive the new model to be fast.

Let’s dive into all ten of the GT3 cars in a little more detail:

Mercedes AMG LMGT3 Evo

The Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 is a high-performance customer racing car developed by Mercedes-AMG based on the road-going GT model.

Introduced in 2015 and updated with the Evo version in 2020, the Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo has become one of the most successful and widely used GT3 cars globally. Featuring a naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V8 engine, rear-wheel drive, and advanced aerodynamics, the GT3 is built for endurance and sprint racing alike.

Making a return to World Endurance racing after 26 years, Iron Lynx switched manufacturer and fields two factory-supported entries in the FIA WEC. A promising debut season shows solid pace, reliability, and strong development.

Lamborghini Huracan Evo 2 LMGT3

Evolution of a proven performer – the Lamborghini Huracán LMGT3 Evo2 builds on the marque’s GT3 pedigree with revised aerodynamics, improved cooling, and enhanced drivability for endurance racing.

Introduced for the 2023 racing season and refined for 2024, the Evo2 features Lamborghini’s signature V10 power and aggressive styling.

Making its debut in the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, the Lamborghini Huracán LMGT3 Evo2 was campaigned by Iron Lynx and Iron Dames, showcasing some promising results in the ultra-competitive LMGT3 class, including a podium in the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

Although not competing in the 2025 season, the Lamborghini with standout liveries and Italian flair is still a fan-favourite with serious intent. It’s one of the fastest cars in the game right now.

Lexus RC F LMGT3

A refined GT3 contender – the Lexus RC F LMGT3 brings Japanese engineering and consistency to the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Featuring a naturally aspirated 5.4-litre V8, the RC F boasts robust reliability and a muscular presence, with a focus on aerodynamic stability and tire management across long stints.

In 2024, the Lexus RC F LMGT3 made its FIA WEC debut with Akkodis ASP, marking Lexus’s return to top-tier global endurance racing.

Although being the oldest car on the grid, the Lexus still blends sharp design with race-proven durability, and the team’s methodical performance and race craft make it a serious LMGT3 threat.

Ford Mustang GT3

CarRulesetEngine
Ford Mustang GT3GT35.4 Litre Naturally Aspirated V8

The 7th generation Mustang, based on the Dark Horse model, is the freshest and latest car homologated to GT3 regulations. Revealed to the world in 2023 and making its racing debut in 2024, the platform is growing in competitiveness but is firmly a fan favourite with the iconic V8 rumble!

Now competing in multiple sports car and GT series internationally, the multimatic-built machine returned to Le Mans in 2024, 27 years after a Mustang last competed in the great race.

With its front engine layout, wide proportions and pliant chassis, the Ford Mustang LMGT3 will no doubt prove a popular car for all players, especially GT car beginners. Which is already the case.

In Le Mans Ultimate, the Ford Mustang is hyper-competitive out of the box. The front engine makes it easy over curbs. The wide body makes it nice and stable. The aerodynamics of the Ford make it super fast on the straights.

Porsche 911 GT3 R

CarRulesetEngine
Porsche 911 GT3 RGT34.2 Litre Naturally Aspirated Flat 6

The Porsche 911 has a storied legacy in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), particularly within the GT categories. In 2024, the WEC transitioned from the GTE class to the LMGT3 category, adopting global GT3 regulations to enhance competition and manufacturer participation.

Porsche embraced this change by introducing the 911 GT3 R (992) to the LMGT3 class.

In the 2024 season, the #92 Porsche 911 GT3 R, fielded by Manthey PureRxcing, secured the LMGT3 championship title, achieving two race victories and consistently strong performances. This success underscored Porsche’s competitive edge in the newly established GT3 format.

In Le Mans Ultimate, it is also one of the fastest GT3s on the grid, although you will have to be careful of the tyre wear on the new tyre model. It can get pretty extreme after a long period of racing compared to other manufacturers.

Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3

CarRulesetEngine
Aston Martin Vantage AMRGT34-litre twin turbocharge V8

The latest second-generation Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 succeeds the successful Vantage GTE in the World Endurance Championship, which scored a remarkable 52 class wins and 11 world titles between 2012 and 2023.

With familiar teams Heart of Racing and D’Station on the grid, the new car is already off to winning ways, having chalked up one win at COTA in 2024.

With a stable and predictable platform and the V8 thunder, the Aston Martin Vantage LMGT3 will continue it’s popularity in game with Le Mans Ultimate players.

In Le Mans Ultimate, the V8 Vantage feels surprisingly nimble, given its front-engined layout. Overall, it provides a solid base to work from, but because it is so stable, it might be a little boring for some drivers.

Ferrari 296 GT3

CarRulesetEngine
Ferrari 296 GT3GT32.9 Litre V6 Turbo

The latest Ferrari sports car to make the transition from road to race, the 296 takes the GT3 regulations and mixes in prototype ethos for its latest GT3 contender. A move from V8 to V6 turbo for lightness and efficiency, plus modular panels for quick damage repair and replacement during a race.

First raced in worldwide competition in 2023, the Ferrari 296 LMGT3 has developed into a fast and reliable race car in all series it enters. A win a piece from each of the AF Corse entries in 2024 resulted in a strong 3rd overall in the season standings.

In Le Mans Ultimate, the 296 is one of the more competitive cars of the front-running GT3s. It feels agile and pointy, which will give you the confidence in the front end that you need, and it performs well across the majority of corner types.

However, on the flip side, it is inherently slippery at the rear end. You have to be hyperaware of your inputs in slower-speed corners where downforce isn’t on your side; too much steering angle will, very simply, leave you facing the wrong way.

McLaren 720s GT3 Evo

CarRulesetEngine
McLaren 720s GT3 EvoGT34.0-Litre Twin Turbo V8

Evolution, not revolution – the 720S GT3 was introduced back in 2019 but received an Evo update in early 2023 with emphasis on an increase in aero performance and balance.

One of the most naturally competitive platforms with its supercar mid-engine, low-frontal area configurations, the McLaren is a true Le Mans racer with a winning heritage.

Sporting retro-inspired liveries and run by endurance racing powerhouse team United Autosport, the McLaren 720s LMGT3 Evo brings the noise and speed to every race.

In Le Mans Ultimate, it was part of a free DLC Pack, which was music to the driver’s ears. It also happens to be one of the best all-around cars in the game as well and that’s why it is one of the more popular cars to drive right now.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R

CarRulesetEngine
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.RGT35.5-litre naturally-aspirated V8

Having raced at Le Mans every year since 2000, Chevrolet are seasoned endurance veterans with the Corvette platform.

With GTE regulations coming to an end, Chevrolet created a new Corvette to conform to GT3 regulations using the C8.R as a base. Both cars share the same body design, suspension underpinnings and the same 5.5L LT6-based naturally aspirated V8.

With 2024 the inaugural year of competition for the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R in multiple series, it has proved competitive out of the blocks with pole in Qatar and a super strong finish with double podium in Bahrain. 2025 looks promising for the new kid on the block, and they’re a highly experienced GT team, TF Sport.

In Le Mans Ultimate, the Corvette Z06 sounds incredible, but it does lack some top speed, which means it hasn’t been a favourite of many drivers. Maybe on the new GT3 tyre model, it will find love once again.

BMW M4 GT3

CarRulesetEngine
BMW M4 GT3GT33.0 Litre Straight 6 Turbo

First homologated in 2022, the BMW M4 GT3 is the latest from a lineage of BMW GT cars, including the Z4 GT3, M6 GT3 and M8 GTE. Returning to Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship in GT after a 5-year absence, the brand partnered with sportscar ace team WRT, and gave a set of keys to 9 x Motorcycle World Champion Valentino Rossi.

The BMW M4 GT3 had already proven its pace in competition in other GT series before FIA WEC, but with a 1 – 2 finish in Imola and a strong showing in Le Mans, the team came away with 4th overall in the classification.

Out of the box, the BMW M4 LMGT3 is one of the easiest to drive in Le Mans Ultimate, which means you will see plenty of them on the grid as drivers can extract the maximum pace out of it pretty easily, but it doesn’t have a very high ceiling for improving after that, which means those on professional setups might see themselves being faster.
