How To Record Replays in Delta for GT7

Do you wish you could analyse a lap from a race you did a couple of months before subscribing to Delta? Don’t worry, that is actually possible!

Follow these detailed steps below to record any single-lap replay (demonstration laps, license hot lap tests, time trial, showcase and daily racing leaderboard replays)

  • Enter the replay fully, so that the car is on track
  • Pause the replay, and wait for Delta to detect the session fully if necessary
  • Press the “previous lap” and “minus 10s” buttons in-game, so that the replay has the car before the start/finish line, this is very important for detection to work because otherwise the game never tells Delta a lap has occurred
  • Once the car is behind the start/finish line you can press the “Enable Replay Capture” button in Delta
  • Press “Resume” in-game, and let the replay lap finish fully

Delta will open a filesave prompt once the replay finishes, save the replay with the default name, or any name you want, and you can then upload this as a reference in any of your sessions!

Using The Replay Capture

Once the capture has started, do not touch anything in GT7. You need to let the lap run fully without interruption for Delta to be able to capture the data properly. At the end of the lap, a pop-up window will open, prompting you to save the lap as a file.

If you want to record the next lap from the same replay, pause and rewind before the start of that lap, click Enable Replay Capture again, and resume playing the replay.

Now that you have saved a lap or several, you can open up a file to analyse it, or load it as a reference for another session. Note that you can also record laps from other people, as long as you have access to their replays or they drove the same race as you!
