How to Use the New Leaderboard Filters in Delta

The rebuilt Leaderboards in Delta come with a powerful new set of filters, and they all exist to do one thing: help you find laps that genuinely match yours, so every comparison is a fair one.

A lap set on low fuel, in cold conditions, on a different game patch isn’t really comparable to yours, and these filters let you strip the board down to only the laps that are.

This help doc breaks down every filter, one by one, so you know exactly what each does and when to use it.

(New to Delta Leaderboards themselves? Start with our “How to Use Leaderboards in Delta” guide, then come back here to fine-tune what you see.)

Where To Find The Filters

The filters sit on the Leaderboards themselves once you’ve chosen your sim, track and car. They work the same way whether you’re in a Live Session or reviewing from your Session History. Apply as many as you like – each one narrows the Leaderboard laps further – and remove them just as easily to widen it back out.

The Filters – One By One

Here we break down those filters for you one-by-one so you get a full understanding of what they are, what they do, and how they help you.

Filter by Session Type

What it does: shows only laps set in Practice, Qualifying or Race sessions.

Why use it: because a qualifying lap (low fuel, full attack) is a completely different thing to a race lap (heavier fuel, managing tyres). Filtering to the same session type as yours means you’re comparing like for like, instead of chasing a qualifying time with a tank full of fuel.

Filter by Setup Type (LMU only)

What it does: In Le Mans Ultimate, it will show you only Fixed LMU setups or only Open setup laps.

Why use it: fixed-setup and open-setup laps aren’t a fair comparison – an open setup can be tuned for the driver and conditions; a fixed one can’t. This filter keeps you comparing against the same ruleset you’re running. (This one is an LMU-specific feature.)

Filter by Driver (Pro or Yours)

What it does: switches the Leaderboard between official Coach Dave Academy pro laps and your own laps.

Why use it: flip to the pro laps when you want a solid benchmark to chase, or to your own laps when you want to review your history and progress.

The bonus: when you’re on the pro-driver filter, Delta loads every pro lap in every car at that circuit at once – so instead of hunting car by car, you can instantly see which cars are quickest at that track. It’s a brilliant way to decide what to drive before you commit to a circuit.

Filter by Laps with Video Analysis

What it does: shows only laps that have Video Analysis attached.

Why use it: if your goal is to watch how a faster driver does it – with their racing lines, apexes, throttle inputs and braking points – this filters out every lap that doesn’t have a video, so you only see the ones you can open straight into side-by-side Video Analysis.

Filter by Game Patch

What it does: shows laps set on the current game version, or on a previous version.

Why use it: physics, tyre models, BOP, and car handling change between patches, which can make an older lap time unbeatable (or irrelevant) under the current build. Filter to the current patch for a true benchmark, or to look back at previous patches when you want historical context.

Filter by Conditions (fuel, air temp, track temp)

What it does: narrows the Leaderboards to laps run with a similar fuel level, air temperature and track temperature to yours.

Why use it: conditions have a huge effect on lap time. A cool track offers more grip; a heavy fuel load costs you tenths everywhere. Matching the conditions is what turns a rough comparison into an exact one where you’re finally measuring yourself against a lap that faced the same conditions you did.

Handy tip: you don’t have to guess a lap’s conditions before filtering. In a live session, you can hover over any lap to see the track temp, air temp and fuel level it was set in, so you can decide what’s worth matching.

Putting The Filters Together

The real power comes from stacking the new filters. Say you’ve just set a race lap and want a proper benchmark: filter to Race sessions, on the current patch, in similar temperatures, against pro laps, and the board strips down to the handful of laps that are genuinely comparable to yours.

From there, open one up (or jump into Video Analysis) knowing the time you’re chasing is one you can realistically match.

The new filters now give you total control over what the Leaderboards show you, so you spend less time second-guessing the data and more time getting faster on track.
