Since the day I started racing, I have had a teacher by my side telling me what I should and should not do. It’s been a critical part of my development as a racing driver and a big reason why I was able to make a competitive return to motorsport after a 6-year break.

Now I want to pass on what I have learned over the last 15 years to aspiring racing drivers, competitive sim racers and casual drivers who are looking to gain an edge over their competition.

By signing up to the Coach Dave Academy you will be coached by our team of sim racers and engineers who are not just professionals in the rig but also experienced sim coaches too.

We coach drivers of all skill levels in Assetto Corsa Competizione and iRacing.

FAQ

The one-on-one session is 60 minutes long and comprises of the following format:

3 Warm Up Laps to get the blood flowing and calm any potential nerves.
2 Instructor Laps where you follow me slowly around the track as I discuss the fundamentals of driving and going faster.
2 Spectator Laps where I go into more detail about the specific track we use for training.
The remainder of the session you will drive on your own in 5 lap runs. After each run we discuss areas where I believe you can improve.

Coaching Style

Our coaching style is very much focused on the fundamentals of driving. For example we will not tell you to brake at a specific pixel on the screen but instead explain why you should be braking at certain points. The theory of driving is a huge passion of mine and we want to share that with as many people as possible.

Session Notes

You need a PC, an internet connection, some headphones and a steering wheel and pedal setup.
One-on-One sessions are 60 minutes long.
Sessions are done remotely, using Assetto Corsa Competizione or iRacing.
The date and time of each session will be discussed after purchase.
Sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled up to 24 hours in advance.
